Main RP partners / Exclusives.

▮ I frequently practice having main rp partners. There are people I'll turn to first and foremost when speaking of/referencing a particular muse, and are formed through long time, frequent interaction both IC and OOC. Becoming a main with me is just as easy as interacting with me, honestly!

▮ On the flip side, I have no problem with doubles and I'm more than happy to interact with you!

▮ At the moment, I have a single exclusive in Soulburnings. This means that as much as I thank others for their interest in Amai and Hoshino, I am uninterested in interacting with any other portrayals of Takeru Homura/Soulburner and his ignis Flame aside from hers, with either of my muses. Kasa is the only exception to the doubles rule in any form.

▮ This blog's canon is tied to several other blogs I run depending on series, but all of three canons have two ties in common: Getyouraoion, Amai and Hoshino's mother Aoi, and Cardrisen, which holds the duel spirit Eria, The Water Charmer. Their Vrains canon, however, is also further tied to Valkyrainflame (Akahiko and Kasumi Homura), Sworntolight (Makoto Takuma and Kiku Kamishirakawa), and Sunmagus (Shayan Mayuzumi).

▮ This blog's Vrains canon is also heavily tied to the canon of Sworntolight, following the main (Fireflower) verse and the events that occur there. Amai and Hoshino are quite close to the muses mentioned in the former rule and as such, they may NPC in their replies occasionally. When this happens, replies will be marked with 'Linked -' and the url in question.

▮ The kids' father is Judai Yuki - Specifically Kiibx. They will see no other Judai as their father, and should he come up in conversation, it's Kiibx's portrayal being referenced. Any other Judai will be treated as either a stranger, someone who looks like their father, or a twin; I am open to plotting for their reactions, but I will not remove this from them. Doubles have no fear in interacting. <3

▮ Occasionally, there may be times development might seem to jump ahead by leaps and bounds with certain partners. This is because development is happening with them off-dash, and being applied here. I will never do anything pertaining to your muse without checking it's okay first, nor force anything on you.

Shipping.

▮ Amai and Hoshino are both very much single-ship and unavailable.

▮ I'm not against shipping them with anyone at some point in the future, and Hoshino even has a small crush on a good friend of hers, but they're both minors. On top of this, Amai is demi and Hoshino is in love with the idea of being in love, but wildly uninterested in actually trying to get into a relationship at the moment - a relationship with either of them is going to take a great deal of time and work to happen.

▮ This, again, doesn't mean a ship can't happen at some point down the road, but unless one builds way down the line naturally, it'll stay a no.

▮ I do have NOTPs I ask to please not be brought up around me, for personal reasons I won't go into. This includes Disaster (RyokenxTakeruxYuaku), Recoil (RyokenxTakeru), Perenial (KikuxAoi), EmmaxAoi, Fiance (JudaixAsuka), Pawn (YurixYugo), Rotten (YurixYuya), YurixYuto, Zarcxany of his fragments, and the manga ship of YushoxYuzu as well as any ship involving an adult and minor (i.e. KusanagixYusaku). ▮ Regardless, basic shipping rules always apply: No forceshipping, don't autoassume ships without prior planning, chemistry is a must, I reserve the right to drop forceshipping threads, etc..

▮ I am semi-selective and may not follow everyone back - This is because I have heavy anxiety and struggle to deal with it, and a cluttered and busy dash is unfortunately one of it's triggers.

▮ However, this doesn't mean I don't want to thread - I do! I understand if my not following you in return results in your unfollowing, but please know it's only my anxiety and nothing on you, and I'd still love to thread regardless. This is just a currently needed rule for my own sense of sanity.

▮ The first thing I do on interacting is read your rules and about pages. I do occasionally go back and re-read these as well to keep myself up to date on them, regardless of if we follow each other or not. If we're threading, I'll be reading them.

▮ Starter calls are a rarity from me, because of the aforementioned anxiety, but I do love memes! The easiest way to start things with me is to drop into my inbox whenever I have one posted, or just send me a message!

▮ I generally don't like to unfollow once I've hit that button, but the easiest way to get me to drop you as a whole is to post unneeded ooc drama, vagueposting, attacking others, and not tagging things of importance (I.E. spoilers, triggers, etc.).

▮ I reserve the right to drop things or unfollow if I feel uncomfortable at any point.

NSFW.

▮ Despite Amai and Hoshino being canonically underage, as well as I as mun being 21+, there will be no NSFW of a sexual nature here. I'm completely fine with this topic and it may be referenced to whenever applies, but the act itself won't be happening on this blog itself. That remains private and off-dash, and never in the context of my muses being involved in it in any verse they're under 18.

▮ I'm fine with most other touchier themes with a little plotting, from trauma to violence, but please throw me a message before including them, and I'll do the same for you. While I'll probably be okay with it being included, comfort is key and having super heavy themes suddenly appear out of nowhere, especially on certain topics, can be a bit unsettling.

▮ PLEASE tag any images and heavy talk of things on fire or covered in smoke, specifically landscapes and buildings, as Not For Poms. I'm all right with superpowers and things like Takeru's flames and fireplaces, but I cannot at this time handle amything past that, ESPECIALLY realistically.

Triggers.

▮ While it's not often brought up unless spoken of in threads, common and possible triggering themes with Amai involve nightmares and bullying. Likewise, bullying also applies to Hoshino.

▮ Amai's nightmares are more prevelant in his ARC-V verses, but tend to involve things happening to his family, or a terrifying spirit he's met trying to hurt him. He doesn't like to speak of them and will keep them to himself until he's able to forget them. Both he and his sister are also far too familiar with bullies, both due to Amai's hyperactive and spacey behavior and Hoshino's more quiet nature when with anyone not close to her, yet like Amai's nightmares, it's not something they like to speak of and tend to take care of it themselves.

▮ Both Amai and Hoshino are prone to withdrawing when things are bothering them, and will avoid being among even friends at this point, preferring to stay home with family and each other. If that's an option unavailable to them, they'll withdraw and slip away from the situation at hand to distract themselves with something they personally can control, though at worst Amai can and will suffer a breakdown in front of anyone with him, albeit something that happens rather rarely. They have not and likely will never attend any kind of counseling or therapy. If any of these topics are personally triggering to you, it may be best to avoid bringing them up in threads altogether.

Behind the muse!

▮ Howdy! I go by Lita and/or Pom, and I'm the mun here! I'm 21+ and usually near my computer, so I'm almost always about somewhere! My mun FC's Jaden/Judai Yuki, so if you're looking for my ooc posts, you'll find them marked with icons of him~!

I'm autistic and have made writing both my hobby and the thing I enjoy doing most often. Aside from that, I'm also a crafter and enjoy drawing,though writing is where my heart lies and has for most of my life. I've also been into YGO enough for the last 20 years to have amassed quite the card collection, and I have no intention of stopping as long as I can keep playing the game!

I've been rp'ing here on tumblr for about seven years now, across a wide range of blogs and fandoms. I've been here in the YGO rpc for a few years, though, and I hover most about the GX, ARC-V, and Vrains sides of things, usually running OC blogs aside from this one. HOSHINO'S VERSES

Road Of The Starlit Hero

Vrains Verse. Traveling the world like her father had always sounded like fun, and as a kid, Hoshino had wasted little time in asking her parents if she could do so alongside him, a request granted after much consideration. And just as she'd thought, it was everything she'd dreamed it would be; she could see so many countries, and cultures! Learn about fashion and how other kids lived all around the world - It was more than amazing!

But it was also lonely, despite having her father always nearby. Contact with her brother, Amai, and their mother was slow and far between, and she found herself missing them more than anything else - And at 12, she made the choice to return home and stay there for a while, reuniting wih her brother... And quickly finding herself thrust into his world after a chance meeting with Hiko, one of his close friends, that drew her into their group before she knew what'd happened.

Content to be involved, Hoshino's even taken the chance to resume use of the Link VRAINS account that was previously her primary way of contacting Amai, rebooting it into Yuna and taking the chance to learn how to duel better. Readjusting to life in Den hasn't been easy, but with her new friends and family by her side, what's the worst that could happen?

....Nobody answer that.

Appearance

▮ Standing in at 5'2", Amai bears a fairly slender and somewhat atheltic build, with a fine layer of muscle built up from his overly active lifestyle. His skintone is a somewhat slightly tanned shade, ranging rather close to that of his father.

His hair is a chocoloatey brown, the tips of which fall to about his shoulders when wet and unstyled. However, he tends to keep it up in a naturally spiky, almost bedhead style, preferring to keep it out of his face, albeit not exactly styled, per say. His eyes are a vibrant and bright shade of sea green.

Though Amai doesn't much care about what he wears most of the time, something that often results in a mess of a wardrobe that only marginally seems to match in the loosest of definitions, he does have a few tried and true outfits he'll turn to more often than most. He doesn't have a set 'favorite' outfit, but they all seem to follow the same, vague trend: A jean jacket or a button up shirt open over a plain, solid color t-shirt, dark, somewhat worn jeans, and either a pair of worn-down sneakers or dark brown hiking boots.

He can usually be found with a duel disk on his left wrist, and rarely ever takes off his necklace, a small, golden cage-like pendant holding several small black opals that glitter bright rainbow colors mainly in the sunlight.

Hobbies, Interests, Jobs

▮ Amai may have an incredibly short attention span, but when he's able to focus, he's shown an incredible talent for art, as well as a great deal of love for it. He often caries a sketchbook and pencils with him when he leaves the house, and can turn to his sketchbook when he's bored to make several hours of the day simply vanish. Unfortunately, should his inability to sit still rear its head mid-piece, it'll cause him to set it asde until he can again - resulting in a large pile of half-finished art pieces he still means to go back to. Somewhere between a manga and realistic style, he's shown his work in multple shows and scored several commissions over time, and even gotten a 'job' under his mother doing the artistic designs for her fashion line, including, but definitely not limited to, her business cards and promotional work.

He's also got an intense love of duel monsters, and a massive collection of cards to match. Having been raised around the game, he can't remember a time he wasn't near a card of some kind, and as suh has had multiple decks of his own from a young age. Learning the rules has been hard and he often slips up on them even as a teenager, but he never fails to give every duel his all and enjoy them like any game, and can be found at least twice a week either buying more cards or trying to fine-tune his deck. He's come to love the art of the cards so much, as well, he's able to recreate most of his deck himself!

Like several boys his age, Amai also has a large collection of video games and comic books, most of them covering his room and not a single bit of it organized aside from a nightstand stuffed full of them. He follows their plots and series as best he can, but for the most part, they're just series and games able to make him grin and keep his attention, or in the case of some of his games, something he can play with Hoshino. He's partial to superhero stories - All because of his dad seeming like one with his frequent traveling.

While he does enjoy reading, it's commonly manga! Amai can be found on overcast days tucked up in a tree somewhere with a good manga to read - If, of course, he isn't adventuring!

Background

▮ The eldest of two, Amai's more than used to leading a 'weird' life. For as long as he can remember, he's been able to see glimpses of strange things around him - A tuft of fur around a corner, a wing in the corner of his eye... All things nobody else could see, yet he knew were there regardless. Thing he knew were there, but often told to keep to himself by his parents, especially after discovering his ADHD - They were things people wouldn't understand, he'd been told, and they feared others thinking them elaborate, imaginary friends.

Things that, at the age of six, were revealed to be Duel Spirits, a dscovery made after a rather rude awakening by the one bound to his father's soul.

The discovery was a blessing in disguise, and in no time at all, Amai turned to making it a positive by picking up a pencil, wanting to immortalize his new friends in the area's spirits through attempts to draw them. If he had to keep them a secret, understanding all too well how others would think hs claims of their existence silly, he'd just have to draw them - And through his attempts to, it was quickly made clear he had a fair talent for art, every piece completed showing more and more growth.

With his art being something he rarely had trouble focusing on, his talent was soon encouraged, drawing more and more attention the better he got. By eight, he was granted a 'job' by his mother, designing the promotional art for her fashion line, and by nine, selling his pieces to her clients and showing them at local art shows - though focus was difficult and his grades slipping under a desire to do anything but sit still, his art was something that never failed to keep his attention, and he was more than happy to keep growing his talent.

But no matter what he did, he continued to come back to dueling, seeking to improve his dueling even ahead of his art. With his focus frequently short and his sister - his best friend - rarely home from traveling with their father, dueling was his escape when even art couldn't hold his attention - and at 14, it's become his life's passion alongside his art, driving him to seek out ways to be the world's greatest. With his friends, family, and spirits behind him, he'll make it - He has to, 'cause he won't be able to focus on anything else!

Other Info

▮ Amai is diagnosed wth ADHD, and has been since he was 5. As a result, he's easily hyperactive and has trouble focusing or sitting still, and when he's made to tends to daydream and fidget with anything within reach. He sees nothing wrong with it and recognizes he needs help dealing with his focus issues, especially where his poor grades in school are concerned, but also won't hesitate to remind he just 'sucks at staying focused', as he likes to put it.

▮ As a result of being the son of Judai, the Gentle Darkness himself, Amai's inherited the ability to both see and communicate with Duel Spirits. The skill fully manifested itself at the age of six after several months of thinking he was catching glimpses of birds and cats, and while he's aware very few people are able to do the same, he can still be caught talking to the spirits trailing him while in public. Explain it, though... Now that's a harder task-!

▮ Amai's frequently trailed by several Elemental HERO spirits, namely Sparkman, Avian, and Stratos. Less often seen is his ace, Elemental HERO Core, who watches from a distance, and Eria The Water Charmer, who's considered a family guardian. He hesitates to call any one spirit his partner, however, and simply treats them all with kindness and friendship, including any he happens to meet while away from the house.

▮ Amai's black opal necklace was a gift from his father after one of his 'adventures' away from home. While he has the option to open it and replace the stones if he ever wants to, he's fallen in love with the opals the small cage contains, and is incredibly careful with it to the point he rarely takes it off to avoid losing or damaging it.

▮ He has a lmassive ove for the Kracie Poppin' Cookin' kits, and will constantly stop to pick one up if he sees one and has the funds for it. He loves to share them and do them with friends, and keeps several tucked away for a rainy day, though not touching them until said day is always easier said than done!

▮ Amai's link VRAINS skill, Hero's Soul, allows him to halve the attack of one of his HERO monsters and apply it to a second on his field. While his skill can only be used once per duel, as all skills can, the monster whose attack is cut does not recover its lost points, while the second loses its attack gain by turn's end - a nod to a hero giving their all to support and protect another with their last bit of strength.

▮ Having a mother frequently busy with her job and a father usually either traveling or gving her a hand, Amai generally has plenty of time to himself, and spends a fair bit of it looking into ways to keep himself occupied. One such hunt for something exciting brought him to reports and talk of Link VRAINS - And by day's end, he'd made himself an account and uploaded his deck. After all, why wait to have fun, right?

It wasn't long before Falcor became the biggest adventure of his life as well as the most enjoyable, seeing him log in at least once on the weekends, if not more during the week. Expansive and always bustling, it was easily the most exciting way to waste an afternoon; he could explore outside of Central Station, or even in it! Could he reach that tree way off in the distance? how high could a D-Board go? He had to know-!

But above all else, it's the dueling that keeps drawing him back. Be it against the server's AI duelists or another player, he loves the excitement and thrill of testing his deck and see how he stacks up against others, using it as a test of his skills on his road to being the #1. It's this very same chalenge that's gotten him to beg and plead and ultimately convince his sister and friends to join him in the virtual world; the adventure was one thing, but where else could they go to challenge AIs using mock decks modeled after the great heroes like Playmaker, Soulurner, and Blue Angel? He needs to know how his deck could stand up against the greatest-!

If he's going to make to anywhere as a pro, this is where he needs to start - In the superhero's training grounds.

Appearance

▮ At 5' even, Hoshino is a small girl with a petite, feminine, thin frame, bearing only the faintest bit of muscle from her more active lifstyle. Her skintone is a just barely tanned shade, several shades lighter than her brother and father and ranging closer to her mother's, though tans slightly more with time out in the sun.

Her hair is a rich black, though not quite raven, falling to about her waist when left loose. Her bangs fall in three distinct sections, with two larger sections framing her face and falling to chin length, and one smaller section falling to the midway point between her eyes, curving slightly towards her right eye. She tends to keep her hair pulled back unless she's in school, though the ways she does vary, from braids to ponytails, and even buns. Her eyes are a chocolately shade of brown, a couple shades lighter than her father's.

Being rather girly and feminine at her core, Hoshino has multiple outfits in recent trends and tends to buy more when she has the chance, on top of having more than a few outfits from her mother's fashion line made specifically for her. Her wardrobe is full of bright colors, though her favorite outfit tends to vary from day to day, resulting in her grabbing whatever she seems to be in the mood for. Still, she's most commonly found in skirts of varying lengths from mid-thigh to ankles and fitting but not snug tops, never with revealing aspects like necklines despite enjoying the occasional v-neck. She's also rather partial to shorts, though it all depends on if she's traveling and what's in fashion at the time - Not including her favorite pair of pink-trimmed white sneakers that've definitely seen better days.

She can usually be found with a silver and pink duel disk on her left wrist, and often wears delicate pieces of jewelry, her favorite of which is a small gold-outlined pink rose necklace, matching small stud earrings, and a small silver cat head charm on a silver chain bracelet on her right wrist. She's also prone to dabbling in makeup, though makes sure her touches of it are in nudes and pale colors and subtle at best, and carries with her a tube of pale pink lip gloss to complete her look.

Hobbies, Interests, Jobs

▮ Though Hoshino is too young to hold a job of her own, her love of most things considered feminine and girly has led to her being her mother, Aoi's, fashion 'eyes' outside of the city they call home. It might not be a real job, but she likes to think of her research as one, and even counts her allowance as a 'paycheck'. It's also allowed for her to start forming a love of fashion of her own and an interest n the industry, though how she'd be interested in joining it, possibly, is beyond her; modeling? Sewing? Only the future knows for sure!

Like her older brother, she also loves Duel Monsters, though her strengths lie in collecting and thinking up strategies more and actually playing, resulting in her deck being softer and sweeter than anything else. Despite this, she loves her deck more than she likes to let on, and tends to keep it with her as much as she possibly can, finding comfort and solace in the cards within it. She even carries small cards of Amai's art, mimicing her brother's HEROs - further comfort and reasons to smile.

Hoshino is also very much into anything feminine and 'girly'; be it fashion, makeup, cute toys and pink fluffy things, she's usually on top of it, either collecting it or losing herself in shopping for it. She's easily giddy over a good shopping trip and on't pass one up; is there anyone who could~?!

Background

▮ The youngest of two, Hoshino's always been the 'baby' of the family. Spoiled and growing up with parents and an older brother who love her, she's never had to worry about anything - bullies, nightmares, even a stubbed toe. Her life has always been comfortable and supportive, and with her older brother as her best friend, she'd not even had to want for friends.

And yet, like Amai, a part of her always craved the thrill of an adventure. While being home was safe and secure, she wanted to see the things their father wrote home about - wanted something that wasn't as 'safe' as her family tried to keep her. The desire to get away from the same old, same old led to her using her birthday wish the day she turned six to request the chance to travel with her father, something she knew her parents didn't exactly approve of... And yet, still granted her a yes, though on multiple conditions.

Keeping her grades up through homeschooling and distanced learning wasn't anything too hard to keep up with, and taking care even less difficult, though it wasn't long before Hoshino came to miss her family. As much as she loved the time with her father and a chance to see the various cultures and fashions wherever they went, using much of her traveling time to take notes on fashion trends around the world for both herself and her mother, being away from home wasn't everything she'd thought it cracked up to be.

There was no familiarity of Amai's late night snack runs, or her parents' check ins on her through the night and the sounds of soft conversation down the hall - Though she had her father, it simply wasn't the same, and Hoshino found herself falling back into Duel Monsters and makeup, even plush toys, to keep her company. Visits home were never enough, and by the age of 11, she'd had enough, sitting down with her father for one more request: To visit home more often, and a cell phone for making the distance easier to handle.

With both agreed to, Hoshino now finds herself traveling both with him and on her own, finding the distance less of an issue - Whenever she feels alone, she can just call home, and the ache ceases to be, all because of the best family in the world!

Other Info

▮ The lip gloss Hoshino carries with her is strawberry flavored and scented, and on opening the tube is strong enough that it can be smelled by anyone close to her. She never seems to mind anyone else's discomfort; she won't be long in applying it!

▮ Hoshino has a bit of an interest in modeling, namely for her mother's fashion line. She's by far not the target audience fo Duel Fashions, but her mom can always use someone to show off her work, right?

▮ Her older brother is easily her best friend, and she's not shy about admitting as much. Amai is also her superhero alongside close friend Hiko; the two of them are the only ones she's seen firsthand standing up to bullies to help her, and won't treat her differently for being a target - Their strength and kindess is inspiring to her, and she's not about to keep that to herself!

▮ While she's not super big into video games, she had a 3DS custom painted metalic rose gold and detailed with metalic baby pink flowers on the corners she brings everywhere with her. She's partial to puzzle-heavy games and ones that allow her to build and create things herself, with her favorites being mysteries and Minecraft-knockoffs, largely because she can't get Minecraft on the console.

▮ Her Link VRAINS skill, Guardian, negates all battle damage for a single turn by halving the amount she takes, then applying it to her LP before it's once more deducated. In return for using this skill, she's forced to skip the draw phase of her following turn, mimicking Amai's own skill as a play on protectng and shielding others.

▮ Though she's more than aware of Amai's efforts to get everyone he knows into Link VRAINS, Hoshino found the virtual world on her own, signing up for an accunt as a means of staying in touch with her brother whenever she was out traveling. Despite this and her lack of real interest in being a duelist, however, even she can't deny her account, Yuna, has become something near and dear to her heart.

Without the ties of travel and missing her family to keep her down, Yuna allows her more freedom to bounce about and be herself - doubly so where there's few people around who know who she is offline. The peace of knowing she can do anything and not have it reflect on Hoshino has been more than a blessing, and though she can't log in often, it's a time she looks forward to, both to be with loved ones and friends, and to be everything she can't offline. With no risk of embrassing herself or bringing any shame to her family, she can completely let go... And does, much to the dismay of her friends. She's pretty sure if they can claim not to know her, they will!
